Each of our practitioners offer sliding scale / low cost counselling options. We believe in accessibility of counselling and mental health services. If you do not have extended health coverage, are not eligible for any of the funding services outlined below, and would find our regular session fees a barrier to accessing services, please reach out to discuss sliding scale options!

Peach Door Counselling offers direct billing to most extended health insurance providers and are APPROVED providers for the funding services below:

RCC Counselling (Individual and Couples with a Registered Clinical Counsellor)

Clinical counselling can support a range of mental health concerns and challenges, including depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, relationship or social challenges, body image, self-worth perceptions, anger, parenting challenges, negative thought cycles, emotional dysregulation and much more.

Counselling therapy with a Registered Social Worker offering therapeutic services for individuals, couples, and families.

Hailing from a small coastal community in northern Nova Scotia Brittany (she/her) is a queer, trauma-informed registered social worker working in Nakusp, BC. She draws from a variety of compassion-based and somatic practices, utilizing a bottom-up approach to therapy that is strengths-based and forward facing. As a Registered Social Worker, Brittany is dedicated to helping folx overcome their personal and relational challenges. With a combination of educational and lived experience in the field, she has developed a deep understanding of the complexities of human behaviour and the factors that contribute to emotional distress.

Registered Clinical Counsellor, MACP

Working with Richelle, clients can expect inclusive clinical care from an intersectional feminist lens. In session, Richelle draws from Humanistic and Attachment-based theories. Her work is influenced by Person-Centred, Emotion-Focused, and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic psychotherapies, but is also known to explore mindfulness and cognition-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Richelle is committed to continuing education and is pursuing certification in Relational-Cultural Therapy for Perinatal Populations.

Richelle’s areas of practice include trauma and trauma recovery, self-esteem issues such as feelings of unworthiness, women’s issues including body image, youth and adolescent challenges, relationship difficulties, and perinatal population struggles such as postpartum depression/anxiety, infertility, pregnancy loss, parenting, and identity.
